About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

At the Philippine Nurses Association Emerald City, we believe inspiration can be found at every turn of our nursing journey. Each day presents us with unique challenges and opportunities to make a difference in the lives of our patients, colleagues, and communities.

Our bold tagline, "Empowering Nurses, Unstoppable Impact," is a rallying cry for our community. It reflects our unwavering commitment to empowering every nurse to reach their full potential. We recognize that when nurses are empowered, they can create an unstoppable impact in healthcare. By fostering a supportive environment that encourages professional growth, collaboration, and advocacy, we aim to inspire nurses to take bold steps in their careers.

Our Story

The Philippine Nurses Association Emerald City (PNA Emerald City) was born out of a shared vision and a deep commitment to uplift the nursing profession within our vibrant community. Founded by a group of passionate nurses who recognized the need for a dedicated platform to support and empower Filipino nurses in the Seattle area, we embarked on a journey to create an organization that would champion our voices, celebrate our contributions, and advocate for our professional growth.

Our Mission

Our mission is clear: to empower nurses through education, advocacy, and community engagement while fostering a strong sense of belonging among our members. We believe that when nurses are empowered, they can make an unstoppable impact on patient care and the healthcare system as a whole.

Our Journey

From our inception, we have been driven by the belief that every nurse has the potential to be a leader. We started as a small group of dedicated professionals, meeting regularly to discuss the challenges we faced and the goals we wished to achieve. As we shared our experiences and aspirations, it became evident that we needed a formal association to amplify our collective voice. In 2024, we officially launched PNA Emerald City. We celebrate our members' diverse backgrounds and experiences, recognizing that our collective strength lies in our unity.

Building Community Connections At PNA Emerald City, we understand the importance of community.

We will actively engage with local healthcare organizations, schools, and advocacy groups to create a network of support for nurses and the communities we serve. Our events and initiatives will aim to bridge gaps, promote health equity, and ensure that the voices of Filipino American nurses are heard in the broader healthcare dialogue.

Looking Ahead

As we look to the future, we remain committed to empowering nurses and making an unstoppable impact. We will continue to advocate for our profession, support our members in their journeys, and build a legacy of excellence that inspires the next generation of nurses. Join us as we write the following chapters of our story, celebrating Filipino American nurses' resilience, dedication, and passion in the Emerald City and beyond. We can create a brighter future for our profession and the communities we serve.

Welcome to PNA Emerald City—where together, we empower nurses for an unstoppable impact!
